ATYD on Deep Tracks this morning on the way to work.

When it was over the DJ talked about how the song was now 40 years old and then played short snippet from a recent interview with IH. He introduced Ian as, "Ian Anderson."

No wonder Ian Anderson is so popular.

Reminds me that in Atlanta a couple of years back, Ian Anderson very graciously introduced Ian Hunter as Ian Hunter.

BTW - Randy -- Good possibility we're gonna do the Beachland if tix still available. Any insider tips on the venue (and strategy for taking in the R and R Hall of Fame) appreciated.

This morning on The Loft on Sirius they played Old Records Never Die. Saturday night I turned on The Loft to hear the dj announce that she had played When I'm President in the previous set. I missed it though.

Life-Ian Hunter on The Loft. Vin Scelsa played the song and then went into a nice long discussion of what a great songwriter is. He eve went as far as compairing him to Bob Dylan. He said this song is the closer of Ian's latest album and that the album is great.
I have to say, I really loved this song. If the rest of the album is anything like this, it's going to be a brilliant album!

Fatally Flawed-Ian Hunter The Loft. Another great one off the new album. Nice to see Sirius giving Ian a push.

driving home from the station and caught Saturday Gigs on Roger Day's local radio programme.

He said that he will shortly have 2 of the band on (separately) for interview, but did not say who or when.

He did say that neither will be the same band member as he had on previously but hopes they are as good as he was!

( I think he previously had Verden Allen on but not sure now.)

Justin - your job is to find out who and more importantly when they will be on.

What For-Ian Hunter and The Rant Band- Sirius/XM The Loft

Played just now. The Loft and Sirius have really been playing quite a bit off of this album. Sounds great.

I haven't heard one new song by Ian and I listen to Sirius/XM all the time - except when I'm at work.

I heard WIP this morning on The Loft. Fittingly, directly after a Bob Dylan track.

Just played Comfortable on planet rock radio, not my favourite on WIP, yet to grow on me, don't dislike it, What For as been doing the rounds in my head, like that as I do Black Tears, WIP, I could go on with more, think it's a great album but good to hear new tracks on radio.

As the old saying goes...All work and no Ian radio play makes Andy request a vacation day

I think that's how the saying goes

That's it! :)

This morning I heard Life on The Loft. The DJ said it comes from IH's new album - which "is the best one he's done since his Mott The Hoople days." Nice of him to play IH but I'm guessing he's not too familiar with Ian's body of work.
