Have just found musictonic.com, worth a look if you aren't already aware of it.

In an hour I'll be watching Jesse Malin's webcast live from San Rafael. A nice teaser for tomorrow's gig. http://www.tristudios.com/

 Re: What are you watching
Apparently if you don't pay your council tax you can stay young forever. Bob originally meant to write: May God bless and keep you always May your bills never come through May you never pay your taxes And let others pay for you May you send a letter the council And turn up in the courts May you stay forever young Forever young, forever young May you stay forever young. But C/R's lawyers sent him a snotty letter, so he changed it. And the answer to the question is - you become middle-aged once you've paid your council tax, and if you pay by direct debit you're positively geriatric. Geriatric Mick

 Re: What are you watching
SAHB live compilation 72-76 Some amazing live stuff, starts with John Peel In Concert at the Marque 1972, a fairly good colour version of something I'd got a poor B & W version of, so early that Zal isn't wearing makeup, followed by a load more stuff of good to very good picture quality including Give My Compliments.. from OGWT which I don't think has been shown for years

 Re: What are you watching
Robert Plant and the Band of Joy. Live from the Artist's Den -- DVD
This is a stellar band. Darrell Scott's turn on "Satisfied Mind" almost steals the show (full disclossure: I LIKE me some country soul). Buddy Miller is the king of time and space -- including Edge-like Mando-echo (on Darrell's solo voc) and turns on a baritone guitar (the latter on Richard Thompson's "House of Cards"). Oh, yeah, there's some Zep stuff as well. "Tangerine" is my pick. Patty Griffin (introed as Robt's "companion"), brings some rock'n'roll edge to the vocs that suits my taste better than the angelic (and supremely talented) Allison.
Go for this, instead of the CD. However, if you liked the CD even just a little bit, be informed that this blows it clean out of the water.

 Re: What are you watching
Old (1969) documentary about Jack Bruce done around the time of his first solo album. Interesting views of Scotland and Glasgow from that time. Oh, and the music is great too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZF1HrWKi68

Hopefully the first two issues of the new Doctor Who series later this week. Didn't know it was back on until yesterday. Isn't catch-up great? Mick

I watched them.....and found them a bit disappointing really. The good doctor gets out of the mire a bit too easily. G
