 Re: obituaries
well im off to blackpool tomorrow for my annual magic convention and for the fourth year in a row we have lost another legend. last year it was the scottish legend ali bongo (real name william wallace) and this year see's another scottish legend die. pat page may not be a household name, but in magic world he was one of the greats. he could do anything with anything, and close up he would fry you. he will be missed this year. here he is in action with his own trick, this is a classic in magic world and can be done with any paper. you might think we scots are tight with our money, but when you know how this is done you dont worry about money, and everything can be handed out. take it away....... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZwiWB0ZPXY

 Re: obituaries
No Wheels, I've read bunches of Dick Francis books, the rest I've listened to in the car. You can't put 'em down! I don't even care about horse racing, I love these mysteries. He'd been doing them with his son in these later years, so I hope the son has picked up his father's bag of tricks. And damnit, in each of these books, if they don't just about teach you some other trade besides horses, like investment banking or cooking. Already I miss Dick. Francis.

 Re: obituaries
T Bone Wolk, the bass player and musical director for Hall and Oates passed away from a heart attack on Saturday. He also played in the Saturday Night Live house band for many years. He's played with many artists on tons of albums and songs. He was a great bassist and an excellent all around musician.
RIP to the man in the hat. As Rick Danko used to sing-Too Soon Gone!

Sad to hear the news that Micky Jones one of the founder members of Man passed away this week at the age of 63. He had been ill for the past few years after having surgery for a brain tumour. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/wales/8562033.stm

RIP Mickey You were an enjoyable part of my slightly misspent adolescence - Liverpool Empire in 75 [or 76] - the place was three quaters empty - but the quater there were for the band - you knew it - we loved it - so thanks for that.

 Re: obituaries
I remember seeing a documentary a few years ago and a lot of ex-members of Man were the backing band for a Sikh Evis impersonator.

 Re: obituaries
Early 70s British folk singer Lesley Duncan passed away last week at the age of 66... besides singing on 'Dark Side Of The Moon' and Alan Parson's 'Eve' album , she's most famous for having written the only non-Elton John / Bernie Taupin song to appear on the early EJ albums... 'Love Song' on 'Tumbleweed Connection'. She was married to producer Tony Cox.
