Good stuff. The sooner the better.

What will happen to your club in its dilapidated ground, then ?

Two things here.
1. Not our ground. Owned lock, stock and barrel by the shark faced tw#t Kennedy, which is where the problem lies.
2. Not particularly dilapidated either. Compares reasonably well with most League 1/2 and Conference clubs. Obviously, if you're a premiershit glory seeker you'll be used to gold-plated bog seats and prawn sandwiches, but each to their own. The pitch itself hasn't been too clever over recent seasons but this is because the egg-chasers like to play pretend hippos in mid-week training and wallow in the mud. I think they call it captain's runs.

I read the other week that your club is so old fashioned they still have hooligans looking for trouble at Wrexham.

Gawd knows what you read, besides the Beano, but I was at Wrexham and managed to talk to a couple of their lads without us scratching one another eyes out. In the main it was fairly peaceful, but a few of their young hoolie wannabees have watched Green Street too often, hence a large police turnout, County held back after the game, some handbags and a couple of split lips.

I hope this helps, but please let me know the next time you need putting right about what's what.
Mick

Mick,
It was the Beano,The Dandy and the Hornet..............and others I cannot remember
I have been reading the Red Passion website due to the troubles at The Crusaders rugby league club - which interested me due to the owners being completely dishonest. The Wrexham FC problems still continue.
I cannot find the thread which had a number of complaints against North Wales police at the game v.Stockport, but I did find THIS and I also found
THIS

What is happening with regard to a takeover and a new manager ?

I can ... Sparky, Whizzer and Chips, Victor, Hotspur, Topper, etc.. Read them all at one stage before graduating to Marvel Comics in the mid-to-late 60s. And their English reprints - partly in Smash, Wham and Pow, and more or less wholly in Fantastic and Terrific. Happy days.

Lots of dishonest owners about and Wrexham have had a bad time of it. It's why I was a bit wary of Evans, and before that, Melrose. Too little money and too many secrets. But from a supporter's perspective all you can do is hope for the best.

The police were heavy handed and over the top. Couple of skirmishes and some gesturing, but there usually is - degenerates into an English versus Welsh thing for the morons, which i think is total bollox.

If I'd answered earlier it would have been fook knows and I'm not very happy. But Jim Gannon's back in the picture and John Fitzpatrick (long time fan and all-round good guy) has been made a director, and i'm more optimistic than I have been for years. :D :D :D

Might still end in tears but with Jim at the helm we'll go down trying. Nearly said fighting but not really appropriate after the other stuff.

You know its funny, in Scotland a Protestant farts in the presence of a Catholic and there nothing but trouble, the media Police and even the Government get involved. Yet down in England we have racist abuse going on the pitch and one involving the England Captain and also a murder outside Englands national stadium, yet everyone is more concerned about what Sepp Blater is saying. Bet they can't wait for the next Celtic v Rangers game.

big cans of worms there CR.
i think the English game is playing catch up with the Scots, namely getting upset about F*CK ALL.
as two guys who have played the game at the toughest level (ie: amateur), the alleged insults being bandied around at the moment which are making headlines are incredibly tame compared to what we were used to receiving and giving.
bunch of fooking poofs, whingers, girls and racists who can't take a small insult these days.
F*CK OFF the lot of ya

About right.

C/R - there's a big difference between "everyone is more concerned " and "the media won't stop banging on".

"Everyone", by and large, couldn't give a shit. Just another reason you should stop believing everything you read.

Rtm,

I would agree with that, and we all say things we later regret, I have anyway.

Do I detect an interloper ?
He cannot be trying to deflect attention away from Celtic and their supporters upsetting people as far apart as Edinburgh and some foreign place where the Celtic fans visited, can he ?
Even the manager is appalling, sorry appealing.Latest

Didn't someone start another thread for those north of the inadequate wall ? Get back there ! Should be a law against interlopers !

Carlos Tevez has released a statement saying he will never play in Europe again. Liverpool are now favourites to sign him!
