Post Re: The Real English Football Thread, Part 3
I think Wenger reached Wembley,in recent times,in the Carling Cup,but the supporters have turned on him.
I don't think Dalglish will still be in charge at Liverpool at this time, next year.
They are getting further behind the other clubs and the longer it takes for a new stadium the further behind they will stay.
Are there any youngsters coming through or will they still rely on big money signings ?

we have some good youngsters breaking into the 1st team, Flanagan, Spearing, Kelly, Shelvey, Coates.
sadly we don't have an Owen, Fowler or Rush.
Dalglish has only been in charge for one year, it's too early for the doom and gloom mongering you seem to prefer.

Nah.I'm impartial.I have read the home crowd are becoming restless but I don't think reaching Wembley will be enough for this season. He has spent some money but other clubs have bigger attendances and more money.
It may be difficult to catch up.
As long as Newcastle United keep having great results - I'm happy

it's impossible to have instant success.
out of Dalglish's purchases, only Suarez and Enrique have hit the ground running.
Downing, Henderson and Adams have the ability, but are far from consistent.
and as for Carroll, well ......
Liverpool fans hounded Lucas for 3 seasons, an embarassment to the shirt etc... his game has improved so much he is now one of our best players.
maybe some of the other new signings will come good and start to click, i'm more worried about our midfield than anything else, they lack creativity.
still keeping the faith.

I don't want to worry you but the FA Cup Final is on 5th May - just as it was in 1973.
There was a replay with Reading in the same round.
They also defeated Arsenal on the way to the final at Wembley.
Could Martin O'Neill emulate little Bobby Kerr and lift the cup ?

Just one short of a hat trick.Where is Mottman when he is needed ?

There are none so blind as those who will not see or cannot see if you get signed as a goalkeeper by the great Sir Alex

Demba 2, what a way to get off the mark, mind you NUFC were crap at times & would have benefited from going down to ten men had the awful Obertan been sent off or even better spontaneously combusted

8 million quid court case,( wasted taxpayers money even more if you believe a barrister) squabbling over a couple of hundred grand.
It would have been cheaper finding a few off-shore accounts of other agents and managers.

I cannot see Redknapp wanting to take a pay cut and not have the ability to transfer players,so I'll be surprised if he takes the England job.

Just to remind everyone what a season Norwich are having. saw us win 2-3 at Swansea on Saturday, the only team to score 3 goals there this season, we are back up to 8th and closing on Liverpool.

I feel a cup run coming on which will be a novelty and also slightly annoying if we get to Wembley as I have miscalculated the dates and have arranged to take my mum to France the weekend of the cup final
