Re: The Real English Football Thread, Part 3
When was the last time Liverpool won a cup without the final going into extra-time and penalties ? Exciting I suppose, but not quite matching the drama and the fight-back of their European victory under Rafa. I don't think Cardiff have spent as much so they could reach a final Anyway, didn't Stockport have a great win at the weekend ?

Re: The Real English Football Thread, Part 3
we always do it the hard way and go to penalties to entertain you all - not good for the old ticker though

Re: The Real English Football Thread, Part 3
I'm not at all bitter. But you will notice I haven't been posting on here for a while, nor do I expect to have anything to discuss in the foreseeable future. Thinking of transferring my allegiance to Port Vale - using the same skill set that I used in transferring my pension to Equitable Life.

Re: The Real English Football Thread, Part 3
I probably wouldn't have bothered with the England match anyway, but feel that I must watch the Gary Speed Memorial Game. RIP Gary

Re: The Real English Football Thread, Part 3
It wasn't about the football, it was about the tributes & the fans repeated deafening chanting of his name
