we always do it the hard way and go to penalties to entertain you all - not good for the old ticker though

Suppose it is more exciting than working in a mine all day before going home to Snow White like.

Have faith, I watched Reading play turgid rubbish for most of the seventies and eighties but now we are flying. Its so good to have your loyalty rewarded with fantastic football and all it took was one local ego centric multimillionaire, a lot of luck and St Steve Coppell to get us there. Brian Mcdermott what a great name for a manger is doing a fine job.

We have had some good managers Alan Pardew, Brendan Rogers both doing very well. Unfortunately we had Teryy Bullivant, Tommy Burns and Mark Mcghee

I just hope the future under the new Russian owner doesn't put a dampener on your enthusiasm.
Has he arrived yet ?

Coincidentally, the coach of the rugby league world champions is also named Brian Mcdermott.
His team will be getting a beating, next weekend !

Coca Cola enquired about sponsoring manc citeh next season.
Apparently impressed by their ability to bottle almost anything.

Our new russian is spending money, the paper work isnt sorted yet. I am concerned because some of these supposed oligarchs are criminal chancers and have no interest if English football. they just buy clubs to make for their small dicks. Johnny Mad is staying as president so there will be some continuity. I am concerned when he has moved on at the end of the 2014 season will our new boy fill the place with expensive has beens and not have the core of local talent we currently have. We have developed some good players recently and I would hte that to be lost because some soviet style idiot wants to have four brazilians in is team to impress his mates at the Oligarchs Arms.

Our Brian Mcdermott looks like a rugby ball

I hope he hasn't upset any people in Russia he shouldn't upset !

Tough home game for you today.Wouldn't mind the manager of either club being promoted.

Is there still a rugby union club playing on your pitch ?

So NUFC go marching on, Liverpool next at St James Park, looks like people are realising that Kenny Dalglish is not a good manager, wonder if he'll be there next season

While bored at Stalag Luft Premier Inn Greenwich earlier this week, I was listening to the Man U v Fulham football on Radio 5. The commentator said 'Not a lot of supporters have travelled up from London for this game' before adding 'well, not to support Fulham anyway'

I was disappointed to see Enrique booed today, he deserved better after his service to NUFC although the chants about us being sixth were amusing after his Twitter comments last July.
Equally disappointing was seeing that Carroll has been having diving lesons from Suarez.
Possibly was a pen for Simpson's stop on the line but how could the ref see it? & it took several replays to be sure, far from a raised hand (Suarez I'm thinking of you)

Well we saw off Blackpool and battered West Ham so we're feeling good. London Irish still play on our pitch but the dry winter has helped. I would prefer it if they went somewhere else where football isnt played so we can preserve our pitch.

All Praise to Brian Mc derMOTT

Leeds next up but it looks a tough month of fixtures.

Mick should be delighted now that Sale Sharks rugby union club have left Edgeley Park.
