Good to see you today Mick, just about the right result in the end both sides were crap but the ref spoiled any chance of a good game.

Bookings were mainly dodgy, 2 for blokes going clear pretty spot on but another 3 at least puzzling. Our bloke deserved sending off, raised his hands so had to go not sure if he connected but doesn't matter. Didn't see what happened for yours getting red, saw throw in awarded and turned to speak to Ros and when I looked back saw defender on ground and melee around linesman.

If your lot keep on playing with that commitment you should be OK.

But you'll be rooting for him when he plays for England in the World Cup won't you? Funny how that works, isn't it?

quote from ladyboy Ronaldo after being sent off yesterday

"I didn't mean to injure the lad. It was bad luck to hit him on the nose because he's only 1.70m and if he had been taller I would have struck his chest."

priceless

Yeah, fair bit of effort, but no goals. Could have gone either way in the end. Great last minute save.

Ian Harte was the defender rolling around in agony after being barely touched, but our guy went in showing his studs (I think) and got a second yellow. Shortly after Harte finished rolling about and holding his leg and foot, he managed to hoof the ball about 80 yards. With the same leg, same foot. Guess it must be the fresh northern air, although he did have a tidy left foot when he was at Leeds.

No wonder Ros thinks you're the one if you treat her to saturday afternoons like that.

Mick

Robinho, another player buggering off when things aren't going his way, but lasted a bit longer than the 70 minutes played by that disgraceful muppet Sol Campbell when at Notts County - he should be banned for life.

This muppet?

...from Sunday’s Observer

Image rights

April 2009: Sol Campbell says his image still hasn't recovered from accusations of greed and disloyalty when he joined Arsenal from Spurs: "It's nearly a decade ago now. Some of the criticism was so far over the top. It's a shame people don't want to see the real you, that you're proper, that you've got no hidden agendas." Sol says Portsmouth has restored his faith in the game. "It must be something to do with the sea air. This club has been fantastic."

Jan 2010: Sues them for £1.7m.

Why are you picking on poor Sol ?
Is it because he walked out of a game at half-time at West Ham ?
Because Notts County didn't honour whatever promise they gave him ?
Give the guy a break about just being a multi-millionaire and not receiving his image-rights payments.
He has an expensive female partner and expensive properties to pay for

Image rights? a poster-boy for the Easter Island Tourist Authority perhaps. Actually, the statues could probably turn quicker.
