Dennis,I bought the cd after reading the review and would suggest you don't go!They murder some songs I love and don't do themselves much credit throughout the album.
However,if you're just going for eye-candy..........

Hopefully the show will be better than the album. I bought a ticket. What the hell, It's a night out. I blame you and Kyassor. I've always admired you two because you get to go to a lot of shows. I decided I'm going to try to hit 8 to 10 shows a year. Not in your league but better than the 2 to 4 I've been seeing the past 20 years. BTW, the album might explain why, with less than a week till the show there are still decent seats available.

I agree with you! The one good thing about my ex husband was his willingness to go see just about anyone in concert. Of course this, and his really crappy taste in music meant I had to see Styx and Journey and Wierd Al Yankovic many many more times than I EVER wanted to, but also got to a lot of shows I wouldn't have otherwise. Even made sure I saw Ringo's show with Ian twice, just because he knew how much I liked Ian. Since the divorce I've really slacked off. No more though!

Can't beat going out to see a band. Lots of unknowns out there who can put a good night on. Also a fair bit of shit as well, but leaning on the bar makes it more bearable.
Will bob down to the Thatched tonight and see some lot I haven't heard of before.
Friday, the Jalapenos play the Thatched. Top band who I hadn't seen until a couple of years back. Now seen them about a dozen times, once supporting the reformed SAHB.
Next week Deep Purple come to mancvsville. No idea who is still with them, or what they're like these days. Not too worried though - seen them a few times, last was 1991 - and they always put a decent show on.

I liked Styx. I've seen them about a half dozen times. The only bands I've seen more are Genesis, and Ian Hunter.

I heard on the radio this morning they are releasing a CD and DVD of rare Deep Purple concert clips from 1969 to 197? to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Purple records.

Funny you should mention Styx. I was going through my tin of old ticket sstubbs yesterday and found one where Styx was the warmup act. I don't remember what they sounded like at all.

Getting back to the subject of people I envy because they get to see a lot of shows. I forgot to mention you Mick.

That's OK. I like being an inconsequential bastard - keeps me out of trouble.
