Listening to Scratch My Back, Peter Gabriel's latest. I don't know what to make of this after first listening -- if I was sitting on a mountain top in Tibet under the influence of mushrooms, I'd probably be blown away by the music. But sitting here in the cramped cubicle of my own reality, I'm not sure how this one is going to play out. Nor am I thrilled that he's finally coming back to Los Angeles, but with an orchestra backing, no drums or guitars, as the advert says. But it usually takes three or four listenings of his albums before I have that ah-ha moment, so we'll see.

Although he does do a beautiful version of Lou Reed's The Power of the Heart.

Having a bit of a Leonard Cohen moment. Probably inspired by watching Watchmen.

Can't Buy a Thrill - Steely Dan. The Follow That thread inspired me. One of the all-time
great albums of my younger days!

Almost bought tickets to the Hollywood Bowl show, but didn't pull the trigger. No drums or guitars. Still, Peter Gabriel will be in the house, so expect the unexpected.
