Re: macfootball, for all post on the scottish game (part 2)
well i dont have any love for the british army even though i fund it. maybe this guy lost family out in the falklands and felt the british should not have been there in the first place, i know this type of thing should be kept out of football but rangers like to bring the british army out now and again for a bit of hero worship.
why did rangers even bother to bring a so called british war hero to a celtic game, i think its just another one of their ploys to make celtic look bad. remember rangers fans sing about killing people, now thats no class.
time for both sets of fans to move on because ireland is ready to go tits up again, i just hope im wrong as ireland doesnt want to go back to that shit.
the british army has nothing to do with us btw, they are their to protect the powerful not the working class people, they would kill us if given an order to do so. and remember, there was a game in ireland when the british army just went in and started killing supporters for no reason. i think waiving a football top is mild compared to that.

Re: macfootball, for all post on the scottish game (part 2)
well i wasnt going to go down that road but
not only did the celtic team disgrace themselves yesterday.......the worst fans in the world live up to their name again as a bunch of vile sectarian bigots I have no time for bigottry and this type of behaviour....how you can defend it CR is simply beyond me
not only did they disgrace themself by shouting sectarian abuse during the minutes scilence to a legend of scottish football....but then to treat a national war hero who has been welcomed at football grounds throughouy britain .......have these cretins no respect.......i was ashamed on their behalf
thank god they did so some shame at the end of the 93 minutes
ban them for life i say ......and fold up the club before the team embarasses their fans any more ........and their fans embarass all the decent people of great britain
RIP CELTIC - DIED 28TH FEB 2010......ON AND OFF THE PARK

Re: macfootball, for all post on the scottish game (part 2)
if they want to fly the irish flag they should be given the chance to prove they are good enough to play in the irish league (would probably manage a respectable mid table place in the irish 4th division)......they are not good enough for scotland and obviously cant behave or seem want to be part of the establishment here (or to follow the rules and pay taxes like the rest of our proud great british citizens)
so they would be no loss here...........infact i am personally willing to fund the 10 bus fares (one way) to help them on their way
i say 10........... as i am assuming ball avoider keanno can afford his own fare

Rangers don't have to do anything to make Celtic look bad as we saw last week they did that all by themselves in fact they are top of the league when it comes to looking bad. And how can anybody try to defend that moron is beyond contempt of a decent modern society, the knuckle draggers are determined to keep us in the dark ages but they will not succeed.

Re: macfootball, for all post on the scottish game (part 2)
Why on earth did Rangers parade Simon Weston before any game, let alone that one. His link with the SPL is? It was designed to provoke the Celtic supporters and seems to have achieved its aims. Well done, Rangers. The date wasn't an anniversary of the war. It was completely random. Oh, except it just (by an astonishing coincidence) was the random date on which Celtic were visiting.
On the subject, why is Simon Weston a 'war hero'. He is a role model for someone dealing with life through extreme adversity and is probably an all round good bloke. But a 'war hero'? He joined the army. He went to war. He got badly injured. That's what happens in wars. A couple of hundred British troops have died in afghanistan (for what) but apart from the ghoulish parades through Wooton Bassett (what the fcuk is that about?) they are forgotten by all but family and friends almost immediately. The difference between them and Simon Weston? Rank. Major Weston is a war hero. The couple of hundred (mostly kids) are mostly 'only' privates and therefore cannon fodder, colatteral damage or whatever other nonsense phrase dreamt up by the MOD and not sufficiently senior to be war heroes. It's all fcuking nonsense.

Re: macfootball, for all post on the scottish game (part 2)
i am sorry but i really do take exception to this rangers always have been a club of the community they do a lot for charity at both local and national level. Simons charity does a lot to help ex-servemen who have suffered injury (while serving queen and country) I have a nephew who is currently on duty in afghanisan and everytime there is another sad story about a soldier being injured or killed over there is a time of great stress to all the family as it is to countless families in both this country and in the US Thank god for good people like Simon and the unselfish work he does He has made personal appearances at football grounds all over the UK with his charity work. He chooses local derbies as that is the games that attract the biggest crowds and the biggest potential earning power for the charity There is not another club in Britain that would have a problem with this other than glasgow celtic......their fans are a disgrace and the time for making excuses for them is over BAN THEM NOW- they bring nothing to the game......only shame celtic fans will claim they do a lot for charity too.........but I wouldnt really count passing round a bucket for a terrorist organisation .........and dont even START me on their behaviour during the minutes scilence...........THE SCUM ARE OUT OF EXUSES I for one have had enough of their antics.........and feel sorry for anyone who tries to condone or defend these idiots

Weston is alive so the media make him a war hero that can be paraded about.

Re: macfootball, for all post on the scottish game (part 2)
Since the arab shagging slapper of an ex princess was killed in Paris this mawkish sort of behaviour has become more and more common. Never got the idea that Weston is a hero, he was on a ship that blew up and survived. 3 lads from Wallsend were working on an oil rig that blew up but they are not called heroes. So what's the difference they were all doing there job when they were injured. No time for the waving of Argie shirts though that is just wrong even though they have a far more legitimate right to the land in question than us.

Re: macfootball, for all post on the scottish game (part 2)
why do rangers fans keep going on about the irish flag? its time you learned your history and stopped believing the bullshit that gets passed down through generations.
let me clear this up, but feel free to check the facts for yourself.
1. there are 3 colours on the irish flag and this flag represents peace. green for the republicans, orange for king billy, yes KING BILLY, and white for peace between the two.
2. union jack, 3 colours on this flag to, and one of the flags nicely hidden on it is the st patricks flag of ireland. so why are rangers fans waiving this about then moaning about the irish flag the celtic fans waive? why not fly the scottish union jack?
now rangers fans wont admit to this because they want to live in bullshit world. celtic fans will tell you the irish flag is green white and gold, this is also living in bullshit land.
now how would rangers fans feel if celtic paraded sinn fienn at celtic park in front of rangers supporters? there would be a riot, but whats the difference between the irish fighting for their land and the british army stealing, murdering and raping every land in the world? the answer is right there btw.
and charities are a waste of money, i dont mind doing local ones but national/international ones i no longer pay into. i know this may seem cruel but its true.

Re: macfootball, for all post on the scottish game (part 2)
Agree. It's definitely green, white and orange for the reasons CR suggests. The St Patrick's Cross was incorporated into the Union Flag in 1800, long before the concept of ROI/NI existed.

Re: macfootball, for all post on the scottish game (part 2)
So why do the Celtic support then take umbridge at the flying of the Union Flag, I mean your always quick to point out that you where the first British club to win the European cup?. I'm really amazed at some of the comments on this thread to try and justify the disgracefull behavior off the Celtic support on Sunday after all it was just a game of football which was shown around the World, it makes me ashamed to be a Scot.
