I see the JS album on there. I don't know if he shot this one but the review by Lester Bangs (the greatest rock writer ever , in my opinion) is cool. I bought this album when it came out.

Sorry to hear that sad news. I once met him backstage at a Lou Reed/Ian Dury concert in SF in the late 70s. Kosmo Vinyl (working for Dury on that tour) tried to kick my buddy and I out, but Malcolm intervened and we were allowed to stay. I'll always remember that.

From Ronnie James Dio's website:

Message from Wendy Dio
Today my heart is broken, Ronnie passed away at 7:45am 16th May. Many, many friends and family were able to say their private good-byes before he peacefully passed away. Ronnie knew how much he was loved by all. We so appreciate the love and support that you have all given us. Please give us a few days of privacy to deal with this terrible loss. Please know he loved you all and his music will live on forever. - Wendy Dio

I always open this section with some trepidation - wondering who it is going to be. Ronnie has been ill with stomach cancer since last November.

RIP RJD

'Long Live Rock & Roll' should be the official national anthem

Ronnie was kind enough to create some of the most magical and memorable nights of my life. He was the truest professional in a sometimes unprofessional business. I will miss him more than I can put into words. God bless him. \m/

Nothing anyone says about Ronnie could be too much.
I really thought from the snippets i'd heard that he was going to beat this stomach cancer. An all-time great singer who will be sadly missed.
RIP Ronnie.

Not really music related discussion, but actor Dennis Hopper has died. Complications related to prostrate cancer.
He appeared in some classic films and some not so classic as well.
