Michael Connelly - The Brass Verdict. The Lincoln Lawyer meets Harry Bosch. Fast paced and very readable, even if it does stretch credibility at little at times. Recommended.

 Re: What are you reading
Wingate's Chum. Charles Hamilton writing as Frank Richards.
For those who haven't sussed, this is Greyfriars and Billy Bunter; a collection of facsimile editions of the Magnet from 1911. Despite the "yaroo"s here and there, the stories are actually quite funny, and the literary standard extremely high. The grammar and the range of vocabulary exceed anything taught in modern comprehensive schools.
A bonus is seeing all the original adverts; most of which would be shot down by the ASA these days.

Wish I could write a phone virus that zapped anyone using them on buses or trains. Mick

 Re: What are you reading
A bloke I was working with ( he has left now) reckoned that he had a gadget that he could use to disable cell phones within a certain radius of the gadget. - he bought it on the internet somewhere. G ps - don't think it is legal though so I am sure that he didn't really ( )

 Re: What are you reading
Just read Ronnie Wood's autobiography called funnily enough - "Ronnie".
I enjoyed the read - he basically takes you through just what you expect, from the home background, vua early Ronnie's life early R&B, Jeff Beck, Faces and onto the Stones era, with his ultimate brother , Keef.
On route he takes you through his various issues, money, drugs, money, houses, money, art, money, family life and of course his bad money decisions .
I wont talk through the various stories, bettrer for you to read them except - just one regarding th emoney thing. Once, when he decided that he didn't need anyone to manage him he was offered a contract. His mate suggested that he check it out for him - "why" said Ronnie. "for a start because you have it upside down". Too late then anway Ronnie had signed witthout even opening it.
Worth reading.

 Re: What are you reading
Just finished Ozzy Osburnes I am Ozzy. What a mess. 100,000,000 albums sold? I just don't get it. Curious, how many on the board have BS albums/cd's etc.

 Re: What are you reading
Me. Quite a few; Ozzy and Ronnie; vinyl and CDs. First two Ozzy solo albums were great, but I refuse to buy them on CD after he rerecorded them with different artists; not sure about the reasons but i believe it was a royalties thing. Maybe he needed the money to pay for sharon's plastic bits'n'pieces? To be honest, Leeann, I play sabbath a lot more than I play bad company. And they're better live, except for the time gillan fronted them at reading fest. Each to their own, I guess. Mick
