 Re: Ian On The Radio
Not exactly Ian, but Joe Elliot played Tracie's version of Junkman on his show last night.

 Re: Ian On The Radio

 Re: Ian On The Radio
On 90.3 FM "The Core" from Rutgers University:
MtH "Roll Away the Stone"
It was during a theme show of songs with "Away" in the title. The host identified the series of songs he played, but this was the only song about which he spoke at some length. He explained that it was released around the time that "one of the leaders" Mick Ralphs left the band to form Bad Co. He mentioned that it was a hit single in Britain but not in the United States.
Mrs. FakinIt was in the car with me when the song was played. After listening to me going on for years about my favorate band MtH, this was the first time she actually heard MtH on the radio. Now she finally believes me that it was a real band and I wasn't just making it up or imagining things.

 Re: Ian On The Radio
Wives v Mott The Hoople. In my household it's treated like 'the other woman'. I'm having a long-term affair. My better half accepts it as long as i don't get caught. When caught she demands, "get that slut out of the house now..." or words to that effect... She met 'the other woman' at Monmouth... "I've never seen a band as good as that..." said the Bon Jovi fan with a front-row seat...

Wives v Mott The Hoople. No problem in our house. Mrs G knows they are (were) real because she used to go to see them with me. For some reason she still thinks I am too obsessed though G

What is better than on the radio? How about in a crossword puzzle. http://www.classicrockrevisited.com/crossword.htm

Very nice find.
On Deep Tracks driving home from work I got How's Your House followed by Be Bop Deluxe's Axe Victim.

 Re: Ian On The Radio
I thought so too. Did you solve the puzzle without googling answers? I didn't. Reading that inspired me to go on a two day Be Bop Binge, thanks. I heard Who Do You Love on V107 Cleveland I also heard Ain't That A Bitch by Johnny Guitar Watson (RIP) which I haven't heard for quite some time.

 Re: Ian On The Radio
MTH- Ready For Love/After the Lights- Deep Tracks
The dj also talked about Mick Ralphs and how this song is his and he took it to Bad Co, but it was originally a MTH song. Also, a nice little interview with Mick talking about how a band should not be afraid to have a hit single. He said that's what happened to Mott. They were a big underground success with no hits. So they were broke and that got a little old after a while, he said with a laugh.
