Just watched a spectacular lunar eclipse. A crisp, crystal clear early morning sky on the West Coast made for perfect viewing. If you're into that sort of thing. :)

The eclipse was meant to be very clear down here from about 11.30pm through to about 2.00am in the morning but we have had heavy clouds and storms since this afternoon - so no chance of viewing it unfortunately. Had about thirty friends around at my place for a party waiting in anticipation (only heard about the eclipse on the news this morning so the party wasn't related). Saw the last one a few years ago and that was magnificent.

I heard nothing about that. Bummer. I love eclipses.

Watched an interesting flick last night,"Rubber". It's about an old car tire that comes to life and telepathically destroys objects it's angry with. Rabbits, crows, and more than a few people explode in this indie and extremely bizarre film. Funny thing is I watched it to the end.

Another film of interest is last summers "piranha". A combination of very soft core porn and outright gore, it's very entertaining and actually featured a few semi-popular actors. Better than your average monster flick.

Wasn't visible for Boston, Rick or for me either. Too bad since it was crystal clear here this morning.

The skies have been beautiful and clear around here lately. Why couldn't we have an eclipse? Sometimes life ain't fair.

Marillion The Fish Years, a DVD from my mate John that some of you have met at Hammersmith & other London gigs, early stuff that reminds me why I liked this band in thier early years when they were the opening act at my first ever festival (Nostell Priory near Wakefield with Tull headlining)

Was going to watch Tommy Cooper from the 1970s but have been informed it was on last night.

I was doing some channel hopping and caught some of this (either yesterday or Sunday). There was some classic Tommy - not like that - like that!

Watch out for a one off documentary about TC on Channel 4 on 28 December.

While the wife was watching a film this afternoon a Ryan Adams song,Answering Bell, was part of the soundtrack, and it made me think why haven't listened to him recently. So I've ordered his last 3 albums (that, for some reason I can't explain,I didn't buy)and intend pulling his other albums, including Whiskeytown, out and giving them another listen.

I hear the single Lucky Now from his new album pretty often on the radio. If you like Adams, you'll enjoy it. I do anyway.

I like the song, but everytime I listen it, all I hear is The Weight by The Band.
