Hooplah,

I think you should read your post again, "conspiracy"? I think you just started one by implying that Banks do not steal our money, you really believe that? I am open to debate on here about anything but when people disagree with me am some kinda conspiracy nut. I have listed where I get my information from and named some of the books, I have asked the people who disagree with me to list where they get their information from and got nothing back. So Dave, the same goes for you, tell me where to look so I can read up on where you get your information, I will check it out and if it proves me wrong I will come on here and admit it.

The Banking system is rigged Dave, you must know this.

Btw way folks, I might be in Court on Weds this week. I have actually had someone ask me if I would represent them in Court. I have to play the part of a Mckenzie friend to enter the Court. It's a bit short notice as am working and haven't said yes yet, but the guy is going to drop off all the paper work I have requested and if I can get off am going to do it, I really want to do this more than anything. Btw way, he is a Rangers supporter so this is my way of getting him 10 years

While I admire you standing your ground and arguing for what you believe in I just think you're wrong on some of your assumptions, you can read anything anywhere on the internet, doesn't mean it's right. Try reading Fox News, it's published but it's often full of lies.
I can't give link's to stories of bank's not stealing from customers as non-stories don't get reported.
I'll agree with you that the banking system is rotten to the core, the whole bonus culture is wrong. If by stealing, you're refering to the charges they hit people with for unauthorised overdrafts etc, they may be abhorrent but people have agreed to them when they open accounts, as with credit cards it's down to personal responsibility.
PS to Mick "Accounts Clerk" eff off, your perception of what I do is as flawed as your vision, see you soon :D (just so people don't get the wrong idea you piss-taking & shit-stirring old git)

I know what you do. Same as everyone else in the bookkeeping industry.
You take some numbers from one column and try to match them with some numbers in another column.

And if they don't match up first time you just use some different numbers until they do. Job's a guddun.
Mick

PS. talking of misperceptions, I think young C/R's latest is his misunderstanding of a McKenzie friend. A McKenzie friend is someone who buys me beer when I'm skint, and then offers to fund the curry as well.

Dave,

As I have said before am not a big internet user in terms of information though there is a lot of good stuff out there. Am a book man, but am also a nosey bastard. I have got information from the following people

1. Tax inspectors

2. ex policemen

3. Councilors

4. I have a guy I know and I write down things for him to give to someone else, I can't tell you who this one is but he has verified everything I have given him as 100% correct.

I love researching stuff and also debating stuff, sadly most men when faced with a problem just don't want to believe it and turn their face away. Am the opposite, find it, fight it, cure it.......not so easy mind you. 8)

I don't swallow every nugget of bullshit posted on a website just because the person posting it claims that he read it in a book or that it was verified by "he who cannot be named". I research it myself, and when it turns out to be misinformation I fight it. Not so easy mind you, because the author often turns his face away and does not believe me :)

We'll probably never agree on some things, but I'll still be getting the beers in next time we meet.
I hope the tax inspectors you rely on know what they're talking about. When I qualified as an accountant I went on to do some tax exams, I met a former Revenue employee who'd gone into private practice as "I couldn't face spending the rest of my working life surrounded by as many idiots as the Revenue employs". An opinion I can agree with after some of the cretins I had to deal with in my accountant days.

It was probably the most important, if not best career decision you ever made?

I had a choice when I was selected to work for the government. I could go into Revenue and learn the tax code by doing audits of corporations or go into Fraud investigations of high netowrk individuals and Fortune 100 companies. I thought the people in audit were mechanical animals who would have marched into boiling vats of tar if they were told to do it without question. The people in Fraud were sharp and would push back on anything they were told to if they didn't like it. After three years I left because my investigation into Robert Maxwell and his company Maxwell Communication was abruptly stopped by senior management because Maxwell had political friends who were protecting him.

In the US the people who cannot afford to buy protection from politicians are the ones who get audited, investigated, and have to pay up because they don't make enough to not pay taxes. On the individual audit side of taxation the revenue auditors production is measured by audit dollars assessed regardless of how arbitrary and erroneous the findings are.

I couldn't believe this anti Tory would use Winston Churchill as his back on being pro Europe, how desperate is that. I wish he had mentioned Churchill on the air and gave me a chance to tell him what I think of that murdering Bastard Churchill.

Could you expand on this one, please ? The shock when I first read it has now worn off.

CR obviously doesn’t share the Great Leader’s view of Sir Winston. I seem to recall a certain amount of admiration for him and here’s what IH has to say on the man:
Horses Mouth wrote:
Q: given your recent preoccupation with history and politics, who are the people you most admire, and how have you incorporated their examples into your own life?:
A: I don't really know because history lies; you don't know what to believe. Anybody slagging off Winston (Churchill) will incur my wrath.

Q: Churchill was a bastard.
A; All leaders are bastards, but you wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Churchill and neither would I

Q; 'If you threw a party and could invite anyone from an historical era, who might you invite?'
A: Churchill

Q: Who would you want to meet and have a nice long conversation with?'
A: Churchill

And in verse:
Death of a Nation wrote:
I was having a drink with Prince Charles and the Queen
When Winston Churchill stepped into my dream
His head it was heavy, his voice was shakin'
He said, "Look what they've done - it's the death of a Nation"

I followed his shadow right out of the bar
And we talked all night 'neath the light of the stars
He said, "This used to be a cradle of civilization
Now look what they've done - it's the death of a Nation"

So is CR out of order? Well, he is certainly lining up to incur IH's wrath. And mine.
