Not sure Willie would be walking into a bar playing the Faces.

Finished off with the new Motorhead - The World is Yours, my album of the year so far. And as the year's almost done, likely to remain so.

JJ Grey & Mofro is a great album.A mixture of blues and soul and it will get plenty of airplay in my car

I'll take care of that for you in the new year. Am working on a local punk documentary with a friend and someone from that band approached me to help with timeline so, we met up and he provided me with a few cds, waiting on one more soon. Local guys who I somehow missed back in time.

David Johansen and the Harry Smiths, Shaker.

If anybody has seen Johansen lately, does he do any of this stuff live? Some of it seems to have great live potential. But I'm enjoying all of it. And seriously, how many out there even knew he did these couple of albums of old American songs? My respect for the guy went up even further after getting this CD.

Saw him lately and don't think he played any of that stuff, but I was on the sauce.

The band on this album is really stripped down, guitar, percussion, mandolin, harmonica. But knowing what David can do live, I think they would be great with a rock band behind him.

That said, I'm really into this album -- A song list including Memphis Minnie, Eddie House, Ligntnin' Hopkins, Muddy Waters, coupled with David's rock and roll growl -- how can you go wrong?

I have the first disc by David Jo And the Harry Smiths. One of the few CDs that makes you feel blurry even if you aren't drinking.

Will have to check out The Psyclone Rangers
