Just re-watched the BBC Scotland Artworks documentary 'Home Again' courtesy of Youtube (http://youtu.be/kH6QPEzrfgI). I remember watching it when it was first broadcast several years ago and it has lost none of its inspirational power, it follows (in four parts on youtube) the struggle to perform again by Edwyn Collins after a devastating double stroke in February 2005. I defy anyone to watch it and be not be hugely impressed by him, his incredible wife, therapists and band.

Starry Skies :) :)

We have had about two weeks of clear sunny days and clear starry nights. Being away from the city lights and on the coast and in the southern hemisphere (a lot more stars to see) some of the nights have been spectacular. One night about two weeks ago we saw a meteor falling through the distant sky and over the horizon. And over a few nights last week we could see a space station zooming across the sky.

I've had people on tours saying at the start of the night that they live in the desert in Colorado or Arizona and are used to seeing the stars. By the end of the night they are gob-smacked (stunned) because they haven't realised there are a lot more stars to see in the southern hemisphere skies.

Although I was aware of Edwyn - had a few 45s etc - it took the documentary to get me off my fat arse and go see him live - I have seen him acouple pf times in the past few years and he is the most inspirational of figures and puts together a great gig and is till putting together submlime new music.

It was via Edwyn [and others] that I came across Colorama - Colorama being the support act on one tour - Carwyn Ellis multi instrumentalist with Edwyns band also being the founder of Colorama - and I'm off to see Colorama in Chester Telfords Warehouse next week.

Watched Benidorm the other night.
It'll be a long time before "You'll never walk alone" is sung in Europe again.

You gotta love Vincent Price. Luckily he lived long enough to enjoy his celebrity. I saw him in a one man show tribute to Oscar Wilde. He was awesome and it was so cool just to watch him for a couple of hours on stage.

That is one funky mic stand.
Not sure about Hagar's beard though - looks like a collection of pubes.
Facial hair oddities aside, looks like a good show.

Just seen the new Stallone movie sequel Rambo #5, basically it's just like the others but this time Sly has a little bit of Monica in his life and a little bit of Erica by his side.

Be sure to move any breakable items off tables before attempting these moves at home.

My son got my wife a blue ray disc player thingy and now I can fool around on Youtube on my big tv with the extra speakers! Awesome. I can watch Ian and MTH videos at full concert volume! Great toy!
