London Irish still play on our pitch but the dry winter has helped. I would prefer it if they went somewhere else where football isnt played so we can preserve our pitch.

I suspect however that those who tend the coffers at the MadStad would disagree; I would imagine the LI crowds must contribute a fair amount of cash to the business (the Guinness sales alone are nothing to be sneezed at  )

The local pubs have been duly supported.

But as it's Easter i'm paying my respects to a long haired bloke who died on the end of a cross ... Andy Carroll.

Been to Tenerife. Can't be arsed with t'interweb or newspapers when i'm on holiday - just run through a quick catch up when i get back.

kennedy's an asset stripper, pure and simple. His legal boys will run rings around anyone he deals with (via cheshire sport) then plant stories in the papers about trying to help while continuing to screw people. Odious wankstain.

Apparently, the gossip from Villa Park is that Emile Heskey has started telling Andy Carroll jokes.

NUFC confirmed to play in Europe next year as we can't finish lower than sixth. How wrong I was about Alan Pardew, he's hugely improved average players like James Perch & must get manager of the season regardless of what happens from now on.
People said Demba Ba was the signing of the season a while ago, now I think we have to go for Papisse Demba Cisse & let Ba have second place
BTW Jose Enrique we're in the top six

''Must get manager of the season'' ? I know the Premier League,or whatever it is called now,is the worst it has ever been, but all he has done is take advantage of what Chris Hughton was building.Young players do have natural progression and improve with experience.

Their brief flirtation with Europe will impact on their premier league campaign next year  and there are any number of managers who deserve recognition far and away superior to Pardew.

I should be amused...................but I ain't.

Alex Ferguson drops Howard Webb for crucial derby match

Alex Ferguson has controversially dropped talismanic referee Howard Webb from Man Utd’s starting 12 for the crucial Premier League clash with Man City, and will instead hand a start to Andre Marriner.

Early reports indicated that crowd favourite Webb would line up for the league leaders, but news has now surfaced that Ferguson is to take a gamble on Marriner.

Marriner, who has only made 3 starts for Man Utd this season, is a surprise selection by Ferguson, given Webb’s ability to pull highly contentious decisions out of the bag in big matches.

“Webby has put in some great performances for us in the past, but I feel the expectation levels of supporters could be too much for him on this occasion,” revealed Ferguson.

“I might put him on the bench as an impact referee in case we need one of their players sending off or a penalty deep into stoppage time.”

Manchester Derby

The news of Marriner’s inclusion has left United fans miffed given Ferguson’s criticism of his performance in a 2-0 defeat to Liverpool in 2009.

“It doesn’t make any sense not to include Webbo,” said avid fan John Henderson, who has lived in Plymouth all his life and whose only connection with Manchester is that he once voted for Bez when he was on Celebrity Big Brother.

“In games like this you want your best performers on the pitch, and Webbsio pulling the strings is as good as going into the game with a two-nil lead.”

“I hope that Ferguson has seen something in Marriner in training that suggests he can rise to the occasion.”

“If City have still got eleven men on the pitch at half-time then I’ll be singing Webbsyio’s name.”

“I’ll be singing it at the TV, but rest assured that the wife will be left in no doubt about how angry I am.”

Should be amused??
SMB do you actually know anything about football?
Most of our team weren't signed by Hughton & you can't have seen Perch last season.
Please enlighten me as to who has achieved more than Pardew, Rodgers & Lambert have done well but please remember that a lot of so called experts tipped us for relegation pre-season
I hope you're looking forwards to sunderlands European fixtures next season, home & away v Swansea :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
