Partial to the full on band with the Chuckster myself. Howver, the expanded banter of a solo gig is fun, e.g. when I saw him at a coffee house gig he explained how he and Alejandro wrote "Real Animal" whilst listening to a bunch of MTH.

Review of recent Newcastle gig from No Depression blog/board (whatever that is) thang here:

This coming Thursday, Paul Weller. I've been a fan for a long time and have never seen him live. He doesn't seem to play the US much. Looking forward to this.

Remind them to come to Boston. They are probably my favorite punk band.

I didn't think they were playing anywhere near you this time around? Did Joe feel guilty leaving you out? 8)

It was the Glass Spider Tour in 1987 - Spartan Stadium San Jose. X actually went down pretty well as I recall.

I saw the Glass Spider tour at Giants Stadium in NJ. We had Squeeze. They went over very well as I recall. But, I'm a huge Squeeze fan. I recall Frampton being in Bowies band for that tour.

Frampton was the guitar player. Wish we had Squeeze at our show. I saw them last summer and they were fantastic.

They must have changed the second support band every few nights... as I recall, Duran Duran was the main support for the whole North American leg of the tour... doing that 'Notorious' she-ite.

Squeeze would have been great... we had Georgia Satellites and it was a snoozefest... sorry, Mick P. ... my horizons were still less than expanded in 1987. 8)

I enjoyed Serious Moonlight more than Glass Spider... and Reality tour was way better than both of those (the Polyphonic Spree notwithstanding).
