Watched Cyndi Lauper on sky arts earlier, what a brillant show with lots of guests including her old backing band the hooters. Her vocals were brilliant. 10/10

Also watched my favourite poet John Cooper Clarke, my all time favourite poet, he eats Rabbie Burns.

Watching a brilliant gig with Paul Mcartney from New York, "paperback writer" was outstanding.

yes, but Ronnie seems to know more detail about how what and where than Paul, who knows his stuff from being around people at the time, but with a lack of the foregoing detail (eg Ronnie correctly stabbed a guess at Earl Palmer being on the early Little Richard tracks (LR had a different touring band to the studio band). I think that the sound that his band made really made those records - tremendous backing to the screaming Richard.

On a rare Saturday night in I watched The Hollow Crown: Richard II. Shakespeare stuff. Telly mag said an hour but it lasted 2 hours, 20 minutes. Very good so i stayed with it, but Mrs M not impressed. Pining for the shows with cop cars chasing chavs and jeremy kyle repeats.
I expect next Saturday will be back to the pub.
